Where do I start? Ah, I got it.. the beginning. (ha.. ahem.. like uhh.. yeah..)
-Personal Info-
I currently live in Florida but was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I grew up in the late 70s-early 80s. As a kid, I loved old science-fiction movies (Star Wars, Alien, Godzilla, etc) and comic books (X-Men. Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, etc).
-How did I get into 3d?-
I first got into 3d art and 3d graphics in 2002. It started with a program called Poser4. At the time, I was the webmaster of an online wrestling federation (basically, it was an online rpg). The people who joined my "fed" wanted pics made for thier wrestler profile pages. I made them, custom to thier needs. After a while, I lost interest in running the "fed" so I closed it and just did 3d art for fun using Poser4. I later purchased Poser 5 and noticed a big difference in the program. I now use Poser 6 and find that it is quite a step up from Poser 4/5.
-How did I get into 3d comics/webcomics?-
In 2004, while at work, a co-worker was telling me about webcomics that he read. I had no idea there were webcomics to begin with. He and I exchanged email addresses and he emailed me some links to some webcomics he recommended. I started reading them and thought, hey.. I do 3d art, I love comics.. perhaps I could do this, too.
-My First WebComic-
Near the end of 2005, I started a webcomic called "Team ShadowWatch". It was the story of a group of "para-human" (super-powered) individuals who banded together as a unit to take back the streets of thier home city. These heroes where there when the police were unable to solve a case invovling a "para-human" criminal or even a rapist or murderer who stalked the dark city streets. This comic didn't last too long. I ended it because I had prior commitments to attend to so I ended the series.
-My Second WebComic-
In 2006, I started an all-new webcomic series called "Armored Carrier". It was similiar to the "Venger Prime" (formerly "The Carrier"). Was the story of a young space pilot of an inter-galactic transport ship who discovered a strange device and activated it and was transformed in an armored battle machine.
-What software(s) is used these comics?-
Okay, I use both Poser 6 and Daz Studio to model the characters as well as pose and set up the scenes for the panels of each strip. I also use Adobe Photoshop to make the comic/speech/thought balloons. (see my webcomic tutorial pages on the extras page of this site for more details on making webcomics)
